Introduction to GNOME Tweaks

GNOME Tweaks is a simple program used to tweak advanced GNOME settings.

This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS-11.0 platform.

Installation of GNOME Tweaks

First, if you are upgrading from gnome-tweaks-3.34.x, remove some incompatible files as the root user:

rm -rf /usr/lib/python3.9/site-packages/gtweak

Install GNOME Tweaks by running the following commands:

mkdir build &&
cd    build &&

meson --prefix=/usr --buildtype=release &&
ninja

This package does not come with a test suite.

Now, as the root user:

ninja install

Command Explanations

--buildtype=release: Specify a buildtype suitable for stable releases of the package, as the default may produce unoptimized binaries.
